21st Century Support Systems

       The elements described below are the critical systems necessary to ensure student mastery of 21st century skills. 21st century standards, assessments, curriculum, instruction, professional development and learning environments must be aligned to produce a support system that produces 21st century outcomes for today’s students.

21st Century Standards:

       Focus on 21st century skills, content knowledge and expertise. Build understanding across and among academic subjects as well as 21st century interdisciplinary themes Emphasize deep understanding rather than shallow knowledge


       Engage students with the real world data, tools, and experts they will encounter in college, on the job, and in life--students learn best when actively engaged in solving meaningful problems and allowing for multiple measures of mastery.

Assessment of 21st Century Skills


  1.    Support a balance of assessments, including high-quality standardized testing along with effective classroom formative and summative assessments   

  2. Emphasize useful feedback on student performance that is embedded into everyday learnin

  3. Require a balance of technology-enhanced, formative and summative assessments that measure student mastery of 21st century skills

  4. Enable development of portfolios of student work that demonstrate mastery of 21st century skills to educators and prospective employers

21st Century Professional Development

  • Teachers can seize opportunities for integrating 21st century skills, tools and teaching strategies into their classroom practice and help them identify what activities they can replace/de-emphasize.

  • Balance direct instruction with project-oriented teaching methods
    Illustrate how a deeper understanding of subject matter can actually enhance problem-solving, critical thinking, and other 21st century skills.
    Enables 21st century professional learning communities for teachers that model the kinds of classroom learning that best promotes 21st century skills for students,

  • Cultivates teachers' ability to identify students' particular learning styles, intelligences, strengths and weaknesses,

  • Helps teachers develop their abilities to use various strategies (such as formative assessments) to reach diverse students and create environments that support differentiated teaching and learning
    Supports the continuous evaluation of students' 21st century skills development,

  • Encourages knowledge sharing among communities of practitioners, using face-to-face, virtual and blended communications,

  • Uses a scalable and sustainable model of professional development.

  •  Allow equitable access to quality learning tools, technologies and resources

  •      Provide 21st century architectural and interior designs for group, team and individual learning. Support expanded community and international involvement in learning, both face-to-face and online.

      隸屬在智慧商業學院內的觀光管理系,主要定位為培養「具備觀光專業知能,能有效的運用科技做為工具,具備溝通能力(Communication)、協調合作的精神(Collaboration)、能批判細思考(Critical thinking)、並有創意(Creativity)的觀光業專業經理人」。

      觀光是旅人在其日常生活的場域以外的生活與活動的整合,包含了旅人的行、住、食、休閒遊憩、購物等活動的複雜組合。每一個人在生活中所要運用的科技,觀光產業都必須要提供給旅人,使其在旅遊地不必改變其日常生活的規律活動,這樣才能讓旅人能放心地從事觀光旅遊體驗。所以觀光服務提供者(Tourism service provider)必須洞悉旅人日常生活的科技需求,因此觀光業是科技的早期使用者,也是重度的使用者(early adaptor and heavy user)。





  • 影像上:能運用自媒體及虛擬實境(VR)/擴增實境(AR)/混和實境(MR)等互動式影音在觀光產業的應用。觀光系自104年開始在課程中運用專案導向課程(Project-Based Learning)的形式,要求學生創作影片,並導入威力導演( Power Director)國際認證,現階段(107學年度)已有95%的日間部學生取得威力導演國際認證。

  • 程式設計上:訓練學生創製行動裝置APP,整合不同資源,建構行銷解決方案的能力。世紀的觀光是富智慧旅遊、數位行銷。本係自107學年度開始將MIT APP Inventor II導入行銷與數位行銷課程,病舉辦教師工作坊,輔導教師及學生報考財團法人中華民國電腦技能基金會舉辦的「TQC跨域設計領域創意APP程式設計APP Inventor 2」認證,已有14位專、兼任老師及40多位同學通過認證測驗。

  • 資料科學(Data Science)及人工智慧(AI)上:能深入的評估後導入現有的資料應用軟體與資料庫,有效的歸納與預測旅人在旅行時與特地觀光場域的需求。以期提供更好的體驗。

  • 機器人的導入與運用:能深入的評估最適當的運用機器人的時機、種類與成本。在了解機器人的優缺點後,設計出有效的人、機協同作業的營運與工作模式。

  • 專案管理:未來不論任何產業,專案管理都是管理人重要的核心能力,觀光系將在未來與中華專案管理學會合作,將專案管理的核心溶入會展管理的課程中,並輔導學生參加專案管理師認證課程,以培養學生專案管理的能力。
