The elements described below are the critical systems necessary to ensure student mastery of 21st century skills. 21st century standards, assessments, curriculum, instruction, professional development and learning environments must be aligned to produce a support system that produces 21st century outcomes for today’s students.

Provide 21st century architectural and interior designs for group, team and individual learning. Support expanded community and international involvement in learning, both face-to-face and online.
觀光是旅人在其日常生活的場域以外的生活與活動的整合，包含了旅人的行、住、食、休閒遊憩、購物等活動的複雜組合。每一個人在生活中所要運用的科技，觀光產業都必須要提供給旅人，使其在旅遊地不必改變其日常生活的規律活動，這樣才能讓旅人能放心地從事觀光旅遊體驗。所以觀光服務提供者(Tourism service provider)必須洞悉旅人日常生活的科技需求，因此觀光業是科技的早期使用者，也是重度的使用者(early adaptor and heavy user)。
影像上:能運用自媒體及虛擬實境(VR)/擴增實境(AR)/混和實境(MR)等互動式影音在觀光產業的應用。觀光系自104年開始在課程中運用專案導向課程(Project-Based Learning)的形式，要求學生創作影片，並導入威力導演( Power Director)國際認證，現階段(107學年度)已有95%的日間部學生取得威力導演國際認證。
程式設計上:訓練學生創製行動裝置APP，整合不同資源，建構行銷解決方案的能力。世紀的觀光是富智慧旅遊、數位行銷。本係自107學年度開始將MIT APP Inventor II導入行銷與數位行銷課程，病舉辦教師工作坊，輔導教師及學生報考財團法人中華民國電腦技能基金會舉辦的「TQC跨域設計領域創意APP程式設計APP Inventor 2」認證，已有14位專、兼任老師及40多位同學通過認證測驗。
